About her
Born in Hertfordshire but now in Oxfordshire. Originally a "lab rat" but later trained as a swimming teacher and I am now retired. I enjoy the outdoors, walking, cycling and visiting historic buildings. Steam trains at GWS, Didcot, interest me and long train journeys. I visit E. Anglia and love its coastline, spending part of the summer there in a caravan near Aldeburgh. I research family history in Ipswich. To relax I listen to classic music and opera or go to the theatre; but I also go to the local pub alone or with children and grandchildren for a beer and listen to local bands. Although to be found wearing jeans, I do enjoy dressing up for "state occasions". At home I sew. My friends enjoy my sense of humour but also know I can be relied on when they need something. I am a practical woman and do decoration or fix things in the home. Recently, I have started to play the tenor horn in Abbey brass band but am finding it a great challenge.
I am involved with several local community projects, politically I am on the left.

Someone with a sense of humour. A caring open person who is confident to express his own opinions. He would value companionship and be proud to escort me out to a concert, the theatre, the pub or just for a walk. He enjoys the outdoor life but be pleased to return to the warm on a chilly day, read the paper and comment on the news.
To keep fit activities such as walking would offer exercise as would a bike ride, gardening or a swim.
