About her
After spending the day at a local wildlife sanctuary, I thought I would follow my Life's philosophy -of never pretending to be something that I am not, so a little about what I do not enjoy. I do not enjoy dining out or 'dressing for dinner'; I am better suited to jeans and wellies as opposed to cocktail attire. A picnic in the countryside or on the beach -all weathers, is my definition of 'dining out'. I believe that it is who you are with that is important. I am generous of heart, non judgemental, empathic, trustworthy -simply, a down to earth semi-retired lady who loves to meander life's lanes with like minded people. My main hobbies are writing -poetry and fiction for all ages, wildlife photography, gardening and walking -to name but a few. I also have an interest in classic cars, steam trains and war aircraft -the influence of brothers! I do not travel abroad but enjoy exploring the UK. I am an optimistic kind of girl, always looking for the positive aspects of life and people.

My ideal 'match' would be a guy who believes in getting to know someone naturally, without the need to rush into thinking of the future. He would be caring and considerate, with just a dash of the 'old fashioned' gentleman. I believe that relationships take time to unravel and mature. It would be ideal if he shared some of my interests, especially the great outdoors. He is someone who enjoys spending time with me -whether it be doing the dishes or out and about, who values and respects me for who I am, and is patient enough to discover the treasures of a relationship together. I guess, someone who is not afraid to fly a kite, go scavenging on the beach, and brave the cold while badger watching. Equally, he would share his interests and teach me new skills -I would love to learn to draw/paint.
