About her
I moved out of teaching French and English in mainstream secondary education which I had enjoyed for nearly thirty years to working with young people with severe emotional difficulties and challenging behaviour. It was the best thing I have ever done in my career! I work with a close knit team and we know that we make a difference and we laugh a lot! I walk and cycle to keep fit. I love being in the fresh air. I enjoy classical music and go to concerts irregularly and I wouldn't consider myself knowledgeable. I run the local Catholic church choir - that is I arrange for musicians to play and make sure the singers and priests know what is going on. I also like most other music. I play the piano badly! I enjoy the cinema: action, comedy and good clean fun. I like going out for meals and to the pub with my friends. I like beach holidays and sunny weather although I am also interested in visiting places of interest and exhibitions. I am pretty fit for my age and rarely sit still for long. I am easy going and friendly and used to making decisions. I am empathetic and enjoy being with people.
About her ideal match
I would like to meet someone who enjoys the outdoors: long brisk walks or cycling. Someone to share trips to the theatre, concerts or exhibitions. Someone who has a good sense of humour but not a practical joker. Someone who enjoys a good discussion although politics is not a strong point of mine. I don't like being lectured but love to learn new things.
My youngest son of three children, he's 25 years old, has severe learning difficulties and is cared for in a residential home. My perfect match would not be precious about this.
I am interested in a long term relationship but would want it to go slowly. A perfect date for me would be a relaxed evening out maybe a meal or a drink in a pub. Nothing extravagant but with the possibility of talking and getting to know one another.
